Unsafe medicine

I wanted to bring up the topic unsafe drugs to make people aware that this is becoming an epidemic. The reason why I choose to call it an epidemic is because every day you see on television about another drug recall. We always hear about this great new wonder drug and about how much it's going to make life better for us, but then you hear them mumble what the side effects are from taking this drug. The drug companies are not open and honest with the consumers and because of this many people are suffering from the long term effects of these so called wonder drugs. They claim that the good that these products do out weighs all of the harm that they can do later on.

People can also become addicted to taking some of these drugs if they are taken for long periods of time. This has prompted The FDA to reinforce the law that all drug companies must label the health risks and warnings on their prescription and over the counter drugs. Many prescription diet pills can cause heart disease, which would make people wonder later on down the line, "was loosing twenty five pounds with this drug worth me now having heart problems the rest of my life". We all need to read these labels carefully and think about what type of synthetic drugs we are putting into our bodies.
